The Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) met on May 6, 2008 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Children’s Hospital. The meeting focused on transportation and included a presentation about the safety and mobility plan including overviews of site plans for alternatives 3, 6 and 7.

The Preliminary Draft Master Plan (PDMP) outlines five proposed development alternatives and was presented by Children’s in January 2008. The CAC and various agencies such as the Seattle Department of Transportation and Department of Planning and Development will provide comments for inclusion in the Draft Master Plan which should be released in spring 2008.
The City of Seattle’s Department of Planning and Development presented the Preliminary Draft Environmental Impact Statement to the Citizens Advisory Committee in January. The CAC and various agencies such as the Seattle Department of Transportation and Children’s will provide comments for inclusion in the Draft Environmental Impact Statement which should be issued in spring 2008.
Children’s Hospital is going through the Major Institution Master Plan process to plan for the future of health care at the hospital campus. Children’s is working with a City-appointed Citizens Advisory Committee to create a master plan that will guide campus development for the next 15 to 20 years.
