The community will play a significant role in Children's master planning process. The intent of the City of Seattle's Major Institution Master Plan code is to balance the needs of the institution to develop health care facilities with the need to minimize the impact of development on the surrounding community.
Twenty-six CAC meetings were held between August 2007 and February 2009. These meetings were open to the public and focused on potential master plan alternatives and development of the CAC’s final report and recommendations. The CAC is now developing its final report. The Hearing Examiner review of Children’s proposed master plan and the LCC Appeal are scheduled for March 2 – 6, 2009. Past CAC meeting agendas, presentations and materials are available online.
