The role of the CAC is to work with the City of Seattle and Children’s Hospital to develop a Major Institution Master Plan that balances the needs of the hospital with those of the community.
The Seattle City Council passed a resolution approving the CAC on July 30, 2007. The CAC held twenty-six meetings throughout the master planning process. Meetings were open to the public and materials from the meetings are available online.
For more information about the CAC process contact Steve Sheppard, City of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods.
After holding a total of twenty-six public meetings, the Citizen’s Advisory Committee (CAC) has completed its Final Report and Recommendations. The report is produced pursuant to Seattle Municipal Code Section 23.69, and contains the findings and recommendations of the CAC for the Seattle Children’s Hospital Master Planning Process.
The Hearing Examiner review of Children’s proposed master plan and the LCC Appeal are scheduled for March 2 – 6, 2009.
