Environmental process documents

The City of Seattle Department of Planning and Development is in charge of the environmental process that is part of the Major Institution Master Plan process. The following documents have been released to date:


Addendum to the Final EIS for Seattle Children's Major Institution Master Plan - January 2011

On January 6, 2011 Seattle Children's submitted an EIS addendum to the Final EIS for Seattle Children's Major Institution Master Plan. The purpose of this EIS Addendum is to provide site-specific information for Seattle Children's Hospital proposed relocation of the existing helistop.


Revised Final Environmental Impact Statement - May 2009

The City of Seattle's Department of Planning and Development published the Revised Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) on May 28, 2009. The revision is in response to the Hearing Examiner's findings.

Final Environmental Impact Statement - November 2008

The City of Seattle's Department of Planning and Development published the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) on November 10, 2008. A presentation was provided at the November 12, 2008 CAC meeting.

Draft Environmental Impact Statement - June 2008

The City of Seattle's Department of Planning and Development published the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) on June 9, 2008. A presentation was provided at the June 10, 2008 CAC meeting.

Preliminary Draft Environmental Impact Statement - January 2008

In accordance with Seattle Municipal Code, the City of Seattle Department of Planning and Development provided a Preliminary Draft Environmental Impact Statement (PDEIS) to the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) and Children's Hospital at the January 8, 2008 meeting.

The purpose of the PDEIS is to allow CAC members, SDOT and Children's to provide early guidance for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) which should be issued in spring 2008. When the DEIS is issued, there will be a public comment period and DPD will hold a public hearing. Scoping Report - September 2007

The City of Seattle's Department of Planning and Development has released a scoping report which summarizes the comments received during the public scoping period. The scoping report also lists the various alternatives that will be studied in the Environmental Impact Statement.
